A growing, source-backed guide to bands, musicians, historical performances, tapes and releases—still incomplete and checked on specific dates. Built for the fans who know that the most unforgettable moments happen between the setlist entries.

Follow the bandmates
Find a relationship path between two artists using only evidence-backed links. A membership connection does not mean a future sit-in or reunion.
Jimmy Herring → Derek Trucks
The musicians share a historical connection to the Allman Brothers Band, not necessarily the stage on any particular date.
Oysterhead → Grateful Dead
How many degrees separate one experimental supergroup from the Dead? The graph can answer only using its documented connections.
Where the music happened
Historic performances and their available sources, connected without confusing the show with the tape. This is a small curated research sample, not a complete archive.
One show. Three recordings.
Cornell 1977: compare audience, soundboard-derived, and matrix sources for the same performance.
Five Fillmore performances
Trace the Allman Brothers' March 1971 early and late shows plus the June closing night.

Recordings & preservation
This tab covers optionally imported Internet Archive item metadata. Our first 9 hand-verified external recording and release pointers are attached to specific performances in Show History. No recordings are hosted here.
How the recording index grows
Run the included optional sync_lma.py importer on an Internet-connected computer. It fetches a small, explicitly selected sample of public item metadata, strictly matches the artist field, and flags ambiguous items for manual review. Then rebuild the offline site.
What deserves preservation
Show date, venue, performers, setlist, source type, taper credit, recording lineage, rights status, and the original authorized listening link. Multiple tapes of the same show stay distinct.

Relevant announced shows
Direct performances by followed entities, plus performances by projects with verified member connections. Historical memberships don't mean that the person will appear at a new show.

Archive metadata can identify a tape without proving exactly which set it contains. Ticketing metadata can suggest an event without proving a guest appearance. Both stay in review until a human checks the evidence.
What runs automatically?
The command-line agent can query selected artists through the Internet Archive metadata API, optionally retrieve Ticketmaster listings with an authorized API key, deduplicate observations, compare shows with the curated index, and produce this research queue. A prepared GitHub Actions workflow can trigger it on a schedule after deployment; it will not silently publish or generate unsupported claims.
For setup commands and source limitations, see the included README and source_config.json in the complete project.
